Burj Khalifa
Two-bedroom second home in Burj Khalifa with panoramic city views, Dubai
A second home in an iconic tower
It was an honour to work in one of the most recognisable buildings in the world. The client was creating a second home in Dubai for his family to use during the harsh winter months in their home country, and wanted a comfortable, elegant two-bedroom apartment that could be enjoyed immediately.
Tight deadline, complex logistics
The apartment had a challenging layout, a fixed budget, and a hard deadline: the family wanted to celebrate New Year in the finished home less than a month after we were appointed. Strict security and delivery rules in the tower meant every supplier and contractor had to be vetted and scheduled, and the design had to integrate with the existing smart-home system.
Living and dining
A tucked-away living room creates an intimate environment with a deep sofa for the whole family, a prominent television, and a premium sound system requested by the client. The dining area features custom artwork commissioned for the project and gold-accented chairs that bring classical elegance to the space.
Views and bedrooms
An iconic lounge chair faces the panoramic view of the city below, the perfect place for a morning coffee, with a telescope nearby for gazing at the night sky from hundreds of metres up. The bedrooms combine bespoke headboards with integrated lighting and power outlets, balancing pragmatism and comfort.
